I made this to promote my book The Shadow Realm Chronicles: Maeve. I might make more as this is a series, but I wanted to try this out first. Marketing is not my best skill, sadly.
I am working on Writing Sprints and am experimenting with different openings for the videos and sounds. I love the sound of typing. So, I might use that instead of music or go back and forth with it. This is the opening I made today.

Many of my poems might be dark and depressing, but writing is how I cope with things life throws at us. When I’m frustrated, hurt, and sad, I write. It helps me cope with my feelings though not every poem will fit this description, most of them will.
I write on a slew of subjects; motherhood, family, miscarriage, children, raising children and many more. Sometimes moms get into a competition of who’s the better mother or who has the best kids, whose job is hard, and that mindset helps no one. I promise to be as real as I can, hoping the things that have challenged me can help someone else.

I am what you call an indie writer which means I publish my own books. I tried to work with a publisher, but it did not go well. I learned a lot from working with them, and from writing over the years.Â
Now I am writing the last book in my series the Shadow Realm Chronicles and still I do not know how to market the book. It worries me sometimes that I have put all this energy into this project and because of that no one will read it. I recently got a review that was not the best and it made me think. Do I really know how to write? Are my books just crap? I know all writers have people who don’t like their books, and everyone has their own taste, but man that killed me.Â
I found that when I write, I am less stressed. So that act of writing keeps me grounded and focused. When I am not writing, for any reason, I am more stressed and irritable.Â
I also like being creative. My books series, I think is fun. It is the story about a family that is cursed and through generations they try and overcome this darkness.Â

I always wanted to be a mom. After my miscarriage, I thought it would never happen. God had a wonderful plan for my life. I just have to wait and put my faith in Him.
